The Spring 2019 Issue
Volume 5 — Issue 2
Letter from the Editors
Welcome to the 10th issue of The Collegian Magazine! Within these pages, you will find a diverse range of articles, all with the aim of looking in-depth at the world of Kenyon College. At the end of this academic year, we pause to reflect on our changing campus and surrounding community. In our first article, we explore the state of mental health care in Mount Vernon, where the community hospital is dealing with waves of patients and a lack of resources. Moving closer to home, we probe the finances behind the College’s most recent construction projects, and we meet the maintenance staff behind their future upkeep. We also profile the leader of Kenyon during all this change, President Sean Decatur. Our nonfiction contest winner, Dylan Manning, reexamines her grandmother’s life after discovering her unpublished memoir.
